Welcome to REHACARE 2008! From 15th to 18th October exhibitors present magical flutes, organisations talk about rehabilitation sports and in the congress “Living Dream” experts show solutions for a more self-dependant life for the elderly and disabled. In future, more and more people will need assistance but fewer nurses will be available. New technologies may help to overcome this gap. REHACARE.de talked with Udo Gaden, manager of the Ambient Assisted Living GmbH, about the EU support programme "Ambient Assisted Living" which deals, among other things, with bed mattresses and cookers that can both release alarms.
