They are no new-fashioned form of a servant, but a tremendous support for handicapped people: personal assistants. Self determination is the fundamental thought. Many disabled people depend from outside help, sometimes 24 hours a day. With a personal assistant they can live self-determined in spite of a handicap. However, the change from a person in need of support to a manager opens a new can of worms to many concerned people.
