REHACARE.de talked to the thoroughbred musician Mike Becker about happiness, his desires and band rehearsals.

REHACARE.de: What makes you get up in the morning?
Mike Becker: So I can let my dog out and my insurance company can continue to claim that I don’t need any care!

REHACARE.de: What is your favorite place and why?
Mike Becker: The South, since I have always been a sun worshipper, especially as a wheel chair bound person, a close second are big rock stages!

REHACARE.de: Who or what impresses you?
Mike Becker: Everybody, who despite heavy obstacles pursues their goal!

REHACARE.de: What is your most valuable possession?
Mike Becker: I am really good with people!

REHACARE.de: What are you fed up with?
Mike Becker: I am fed up with this winter, Ms. Merkel, the staff of the AOK (= the largest German health insurance company) and doctors who have no clue about paraplegia.

REHACARE.de: What makes you relax the most?
Mike Becker: Lying in bed with the blanket over my nose, while raindrops are splashing down in front of the window!

REHACARE.de: What makes you happy?
Mike Becker: When my family is happy and when I delivered another successful gig with my band!

REHACARE.de: Is there something you should throw away, but won’t?
Mike Becker: No.

REHACARE.de: Name three things that make for a fulfilled life!
Mike Becker: Well-being, friends, strong self-confidence!

REHACARE.de: When was the last time you felt blown away by something?
Mike Becker: At every band practice!

REHACARE.de: What questions would you like to know the answer to?
Mike Becker: Why do bad people as a matter of principle have such a great lease on well-being or have you ever seen a dictator in a wheel chair? Is there something after Death?

REHACARE.de: When was the last time you felt like hiding from something?
Mike Becker: I don’t know that kind of feeling, especially since it’s almost impossible to hide with a wheel chair!

REHACARE.de: What makes a person rich?
Mike Becker: Well being!

REHACARE.de: What is your philosophy of life?
Mike Becker: Even though I am sitting in a wheel chair, this paraplegia is not bringing me down!

REHACARE.de: Who else should we be asking these questions of?
Mike Becker: People, who innately have a good life, so they will realize they aren’t even aware of their good health! You always have to lose something first, before you realize what you had!
