REHACARE.de talked to the successful biathlete Verena Bentele about happiness, her desires and sports.
REHACARE.de: What makes you get up in the morning?
Verena Bentele: A cup of coffee, a long jog through the parks of Munich and for all the other things that the day brings.
REHACARE.de: What is your favorite place and why?
Verena Bentele: At the moment it’s Munich, mostly because a lot of my friends live here, and I know where they have the best rolls and the best sushi.
REHACARE.de: Who or what impresses you?
Verena Bentele: All people, who with a lot of energy accomplish something special, whether that’s the biathlon athlete Magdalena Neuner or an entrepreneur like Rudolf Broer, who built a successful company all by himself.
REHACARE.de: What is your most valuable possession?
Verena Bentele: My medals from the Paralympics.
REHACARE.de: What are you fed up with?
Verena Bentele: With people, who don’t think I can do anything and people, who talk about me in the third person while they stand right next to me.
REHACARE.de: What makes you relax the most?
Verena Bentele: Listening to a wonderful book.
REHACARE.de: What makes you happy?
Verena Bentele: Taking it to the limit in my sport and to experience beautiful things with friends, like for example a visit to the theatre.
REHACARE.de: Is there something you should throw away, but won’t?
Verena Bentele: Lots of clothes.
REHACARE.de: Name three things that make for a fulfilled life!
Verena Bentele: Family, friendship and security.
REHACARE.de: When was the last time you felt blown away by something?
Verena Bentele: At the reception in my hometown Tettnang after the Paralympics in Vancouver.
