The category "news of the region” takes in the main sector with 46 local acoustic newspapers. Interested listeners find articles about regional politics of the Northern, Eastern or Southern Germany, local economy reports of Nordrhein-Westfalen (Northrine Westphalia), Hessen (Hesse), Rheinland-Pfalz (Rhineland-Palatinate) and cultural events of the Saarland . The news are composed by the local editorial staff and put on mothertapes, which are send to ATZ in Holzminden. The 90-minutes program is separated into two parts: the news part is recorded on the tape's first side and the cultural part is copied on the second side. Finally, the association members send the tapes to the subscribers by mail.

Another huge sector deals with the acoustic magazines. Six media are about the topics politics, economy and consumer. In this category, one finds the weekly published Focus and the economy magazine CAPITAL. Phantasia, another magazine available, especially addresses young people.
