REHACARE.de: What makes you get up in the morning?
Rob Davis: Sometimes I also wonder why. But I am an optimist and I am glad about every day.
REHACARE.de: What is your favourite place and why?
Rob Davis: Near the water, on the beach or near by a lake. For hours I could look at the water. The water has a magnetic pull for me.
REHACARE.de: Who or what impresses you?
Rob Davis: All hearing-impaired people who manage to live each day and still have a smile on their faces at the end of the day.
REHACARE.de: What is your most valuable possession?
Rob Davis: Pictures of my family.
REHACARE.de: What are you fed up with?
Rob Davis: People who have no respect for each other.
REHACARE.de: What makes you relax the most?
Rob Davis: Jogging – I put on my shoes and get a move on.
REHACARE.de: What makes you happy?
Rob Davis: Children. It’s possible to learn so much from children, but unfortunately the adults have forgotten about that.

REHACARE.de: Is there something you should throw away, but won’t?
Rob Davis: Yes, my sports gear like new, well, not more that new. I keep it still for a while.
REHACARE.de: Name three things that make for a fulfilled life!
Rob Davis: Respect, love and kindness.
REHACARE.de: When was the last time you felt blown away by something?
Rob Davis: The birth of my granddaughter. It has changed my life. After that my second granddaughter was born and it was the same impression.
REHACARE.de: What questions would you like to know the answer to?
Rob Davis: Why are there people with a disability? What have we done to deserve it?
REHACARE.de: When was the last time you felt like hiding from something?
Rob Davis: When somebody has insulted me in the presence of my grandchildren alone on the basis of my handicap.
REHACARE.de: What makes a person rich?
Rob Davis: Certainly not money. If somebody has a friend, he is a rich man; that’s priceless.
REHACARE.de: What is your philosophy of life?
Rob Davis: Audiatur et altera pars. That means to hear the other side.
Rehacare.de: Who else should we be asking these questions of?
Rob Davis: I would like to put this question to my mother. Unfortunately it is too late now.
