Name: Lisa Biehl
Age: 49
City: Berlin/Germany
Occupation: Paediatric nurse, psychologist and responsible for the improvement of information on rare diseases at the ACHSE - an organisation for chronic diseases.
Handicap: I have a soft spot for self-help and its strengthening.

People who suffer from rare diseases are often missing opportunities of special support for their situation. Lisa Biehl advocates the needs of such people. REHACARE.de spoke with the nurse and psychologist about her work and laughed about two funny cows.

REHACARE.de: When did you last laugh heartily and what about?
Lisa Biehl: About so-called "anti-joke": Two cows sit in the boiler room knitting oil. A screwdriver comes through the door, goes up against one wall, along the ceiling, on the other side back down and disappears through the window. The one cow says to the other: "Did you see that?" The other one answers: "Why? He never greets."

REHACARE.de: What is your favourite place? And why?
Lisa Biehl: In the sea. In salt water you are almost weightless and the view expands and relaxes. This opens up new perspectives.

REHACARE.de: The last meal in my life would be…
Lisa Biehl: Pasta, pasta, pasta

REHACARE.de: Which person has influenced you most?
Lisa Biehl: My parents, my daughter and my chosen mentors. I love learning from other people.

REHACARE.de: Is there something you should throw away, but won’t?
Lisa Biehl: Currently: my washing machine that clatters and is reminiscent of a jet airplane. Further: old materials from school and studies at the university.

REHACARE.de: If you were to win one million in the lottery, what would you do with the money?
Lisa Biehl: I would buy a large farm with land and rebuilt it to a meeting place for recreation and support facilities. Whether young or old, healthy or sick, whether small or large, thick or thin, whether black, white or whatever – everyone who is interested in community projects, and has heart and humour is welcome there.

REHACARE.de: Which moment of your life would you like to relive?
Lisa Biehl: When the physicians put my daughter on my stomach after her birth.

REHACARE.de: I would like to be…
Lisa Biehl: Inventor or discoverer.

REHACARE.de: What are you fed up about?
Lisa Biehl: About people who have blinkers, egocentrics, constant whiners and people who hurt and discriminate others intentionally or knowingly.

REHACARE.de: How can you relax the best?
Lisa Biehl: When I am listening to music, reading, eating tasteful food, dancing, singing or when I am sitting at a campfire.

REHACARE.de: I enjoy listening to music by…
Lisa Biehl: They are too many to list them: pop, hip hop, jazz, rock, classical.

REHACARE.de: Which questions would you like answered the most?
Lisa Biehl: This is different every day. Starting with "Where are my ..." over "Why does the Internet not function again?" to "Why do we humans, as a species, often act against ourselves and others? “

REHACARE.de: What are you most afraid of?
Lisa Biehl: That something bad might happen to the people I love.

REHACARE.de: What else would you like to accomplish in life?
Lisa Biehl: That my daughter is provided with everything she needs to go through life cheerfully. And the farm - that is the million.
