Name: Gabriele Gramsch
Age: 58
City: Voerde-Spellen; Germany
Occupation: special pedagogue and coach for rehabilitation sports judo
Handicap: Multiple allergies

The lessons in a special school bring her new challenges every day and give her a lot of fun. In her spare time Gabriele Gramsch coaches a judo group and organises journeys to competitions and advanced trainings for them. REHACARE.de talked with the engaged career woman about her pupils and her four sons.

REHACARE.de: When did you last laugh heartily and what about?
Gabriele Gramsch: It was an awful rainy day. My pupils had already been grumbling the whole day that they were not allowed to play on the playground because of the rain. After lunch there was an announcement to all pupils to spent the break in the classroom. However, Justin ran to the window with the words: “Yes, fantastically, finally.“ Watching out of the window he saw the rain and said sadly: “Oh, that is not right, is no rain break.“ I looked at him and had to laugh until I had tears in my eyes.

REHACARE.de: What is your favourite place? And why?
Gabriele Gramsch: At the sea. I love the wind, the sun and the view upon the waves.

REHACARE.de: The last meal in my life would be…
Gabriele Gramsch: Turkish pizza.

REHACARE.de: Which person has influenced you most?
Gabriele Gramsch: My youngest son, right from his birth.

REHACARE.de: Is there something you should throw away, but won’t?
Gabriele Gramsch: Yes, but I always find a new place where it does not really disturb me, actually.

REHACARE.de: If you were to win one million in the lottery, what would you do with the money?
Gabriele Gramsch: I would go shopping with my sons. And rebuild my flat. Fly to America. And buy a little Volkswagen bus.

REHACARE.de: Which moment of your life would you like to relive?
Gabriele Gramsch: My holidays in Denmark in 2002.
