In good times and bad times – for 30 years her husband is accompanying her trough life now. Since the day Sabine Schäfer has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, he takes care of her all the more. REHACARE.de talked to her about the unforgettable dance at their eve-of-wedding-party and about writing of books.
REHACARE.de: When did you last laugh heartily and what about?
Sabine Schäfer: A picture on “facebook” which someone sent me when I felt bad. After watching it I felt much better.
REHACARE.de: What is your favourite place? And why?
Sabine Schäfer: At home where I feel comfortable and understood.
REHACARE.de: The last meal in my life would be…
Sabine Schäfer: … this could surely be every meal which my children would cook.
REHACARE.de: Which person has influenced you most?
Sabine Schäfer: My husband Frank. We have been together for 30 years now, and married for 22 years.
REHACARE.de: Is there something you should throw away, but won’t?
Sabine Schäfer: The goodbye-photo of my work: throwing it away because no one gets in contact to me after 25 years of working there – not throwing it away because it belongs to my life.
REHACARE.de: If you were to win one million in the lottery, what would you do with the money?
Sabine Schäfer: I would like to build a perfect home for people with MS and their families.
REHACARE.de: Which moment of your life would you like to relive?
Sabine Schäfer: Dancing with my husband on our eve-of-wedding-party.
