The Alliance for Technology Access

The Alliance for Technology Access (ATA) is a network of community-based Resource Centers, Developers, Vendors and Associates dedicated to providing information and support services to children and adults with disabilities, and increasing their use of standard, assistive, and information technologies. Communication aids and services for different age groups can be found in their extensive database. Various other resources round up the site, e.g. communities, resource libraries, or special membership benefits.

Blissymbolics Communication International

Blissymbolics is a communication system originally developed for the purpose of international communication. It is a is a language currently composed of over 2,000 graphic symbols. Bliss-characters can be combined and recombined in endless ways to create new symbols. For those who have a communication impairment, Blissymbols can be used on simple communication boards mounted on wheelchairs, on dedicated electronic devices with synthetic speech and within computer software.
