Barrier free - a keyword that needs to be applied to many aspects of life. But special emphasis should be given to it in your own housing. Since not being able to move around ones house is a reduction of quality of life. That is not only true for people with a disabilty but also for the elderly and even parents with children in a pram.

It is not just a problem with the bathroom or the entrance - people with a disability may have problems everywhere in their own home. A recent study points out the urgent need to act in order to make houses and public buildings barrier free.
