Patient monitoring and security solution for nursing homes

ELSI ElderlyCare is a product designed in close co-operation with Finland's second largest nursing home. The system is integrated into nursing process and is a central tool in daily nursing work within the departments where the sensor floor is installed.

The core of the system is the alerts created of the patients movements. Following list includes examples of alerts that can be created:

* Falling on the floor

* Leaving bed

* Entering toilet

* Leaving room at night time

* Staying on the balcony for over than 30 minutes during wintertime

The ELSI safety floor is based on a sensor foil that is installed under the flooring. All common floor materials can be used on top of it. The ends of the foils are equipped with electricity units which are concealed inside the baseboards. The electronics are further connected via standard cabling to ELSI server. The server contains intelligence of the system and user interface for the nurses.
